JAXSON'S APPOINTMENT!

Yesterday Jax got his cast removed and his foot moved in a new position.The difference when they removed the cast was amazing.His ankle and foot look better already.So they moved it over and up this time.He now has a pretty red cast for a week.PT is calling advacare to make an adjustment to his chair.They will hopefully meet us at PT next tuesday.His side pices are to low which hold his upper body so he leans terrible to the side.I been putting a blanket roll in for now so he can set up straight. While we were at childrens Jax needed some bloodwork done so we got it done and picked up his prescription too.I called it in the night before so it would be ready.He is doing so well and full of smiles.

I decided that the boys room was organized why not finish it.So i shampooed the carpet tonight instead of tomorrow.It looks awesome now and smells good too.Tomorrow i am shampooing the hallway!

THE WEEKEND!

It has been pretty laid back weekend..Yesterday was a lazy day!The little boys and I watched open season 3 and watched Disney pixar cars!Landen played all day and i got lots of cuddle time with Jax.Linda took my car and her boyfriend and her went to visit his grandma.Rebecca went to a bomb fire birthday party last night.I was not feeling well come evening and took a nap.Michael watched the little boys why mommy slept!I felt so much better when i got up.My husband was sweet and knew i was under the weather and ordered pizza so i did not have to cook. Today i am doing laundry!The kids were on spring break all last week and go back tomorrow so i am doing the mounds of laundry today so they have clean clothes for school.I am also going through and organizing Jaxson and Landen's room today .It is almost finished.Tomorrow when the kids are back in school i am shampooing the carpet in their room.I cant wait for the weather to warm up i have so much yard work to do.Hoping soon these cold temps go away and the warm days come back.

SERIAL CASTING!

Jax got his first cast yesterday!This is suppose to help get his foot in a normal position.His foot was turned in badly and he could not stand on it at all.He goes back in a week and gets the cast off his foot moved some more in another angle and be casted again.Jax will do this for 4 weeks if it works they will then build is new AFO If not he will have surgery and then get an AFO.I am super excited as that means we can get him on his feet!

A WONDERFUL DAY!

The weather is wonderful!I am loving this weather as we are moving into spring.Jax has been so happy the last couple days just full of non stop smiles.He is such a sweet heart i adore him so much.Landen has been sleeping alot lately.I am getting concerned about his sleep patterns and have started charting them.
We have an appointment..Thursday we go to olathe where Jax will be fitted in his brand new wheelchair.We are excited to finally get this chair he needs it badly.
More good news today...My niece Amberly is pregnant she had an appointment today and the doctor was concerned how big she was at 12 weeks along.She is a tiny girl and was showing farther along then 12 weeks.So he listend to the heart beat and told her wanted to do a sonogram because he was picking up 2 heartbeats and he thought maybe hers was echoing.The sonogram revealed what the doctor was suspecting..Amberly is pregnant with TWINS!She is in shock but nervouse and excited.She will have her hands full as she has a 2 yr old son too.
We cooked supper on the grill tonight it was good i was ready for food on the grill.Rebecca came home from softball practice with a knot on her leg.She got hit with a ball so i iced her leg down and she seems to be better now.The other good news is both my adult sons have jobs now so that stress is better.Jobs are hard to come by right now so i am very thankful they were blessed with these jobs.Hopeing for an awesome Saturday and Sunday.

appointments!

Our appointments are picking up again!Jaxson starts his first Serial casting on Tuesday!Its an early appointment so we have to be out the door no later then 6:30 a.m.These will continue every week.I am worried about the gas money driving 2 hrs one way once a week sometimes more depending on whatever other appointments he has is going to be draining.We will be fine though.I am excited as this will be a step closer to him being able to stand on his left leg.He does stand on his right.His right i think will be casted to but not as long as his left.If this works then he will get braces for his legs from there.
I am happy to move to this step it took a year to get to this point.I am excited for Jax!We have two upcoming graduations in may..a family reunion in June and the kids BAT picnic also in June.Now we were told possible second reunion in June.We are going to have a busy summer.Wedding in July our oldest is getting married in July.This week we only had one appointment and that was Jaxson's botox.So the rest of the week i am cleaning organising and planning a yard sale to get rid of all this stuff we accumulated.Spring cleaning is allot of work but so worth it when it is done.

weekend and more!

Our weekend started off great and went bad from there.I cant get into detail on my blog about it all but i can say one of my children was taken to Er and another is sore.They are ok but was a bad weekend and my lawyer was called..It was not a car wreck either.Ok enough on the bad stuff!
Jax had an appointment today with the cp clinic.He got his second round of Botox today and they are now talking about putting a baclofen pump in.He takes baclofen now in his gtube.She says the pump will distribute it better and also decrease his drool some.Basically he will get better effects with the baclofen pump.She gave me an information packet about it and Michael and i will decide if this is a step we want to take.The doc also got onto me for having jax in his stroller and not his wheelchair.I told her well he would be in his wheelchair if we had it.She was not happy to find the wheel chair should of been here months ago and that we had such a problem getting it through insurance.I told her about the email stating it was deliverd to advacare?and they will be calling to deliver it this week or next.So our next appointment he will be setting in it.
So Michael and I have some decisions to make.This evening Jax is sore from his botox shots so he is setting in his activity chair happily.He dont want to be held which is rare as he is a cuddle bug.I just gave him some ibuprofen to help him out a bit my poor sweet boy!

GREAT DAY!

Today was the ST.Patricks day parade the weather was pretty good today so we could take Jaxson out.Jax absolutely loved it..he was all smiles allday and did not fall asleep.Landen loved the candy and the beads they were throwing.After the parade we were invited to my aunts house for cornbeef and cabbage.We had a great time and got our bellies full with good company!Today was a great day that i enjoyed.We have not went anywhere for a long time on the weekends so today was a real treat and the weather was pretty good.Chilly but not freezing.Jax was so sweet and he enjoyed being outside as much as his Daddy and I did.

TWO ISSUES FOR TWO LITTLE BOYS!

Landen has been complaining about headaches.I have called the Neurologist for an appointment and am waiting to hear back.It maybe just sinuses or something but he is due for his yearly check up with Neurology anyway I rather be safe then sorry.
Jaxson's trach has an odor coming from it.It is awful smell and very noticeable.I called the ENT and left a message telling them about it as it more then likely is an infection .So in the mean time we are changing his trach daily and sterilizing them.He is getting allot of cleaning and bandages and clean trach ties daily as well.I want both my little ones happy and healthy.

Landen!

I have been worried about Landen!He has acted off for a week now.He sleeps way more then he ever has and he is complaining of headcahes.I have put a call into his nuerologist in hopes of getting an appointment quickly.He just isnt my active,hyper little boy!Praying nothing huge is going on my my sweet little man!

SLEEP ISSUES!

Jax has for the last few months decided he would stay up all night.Its 3 20 a.m. and he is wide awake.Every night it 1 am to 3 am before he falls asleep.I will be talking to the doctor about this soon.He has to have a physical before he gets his MRI.I am going to ask about meletonin for him.I need sleep and i cant lay down until he is asleep because he cries when i put his night hand braces on.So i wait until he goes to sleep to put them on.
He does take a nap but not more then an hour!He needs that hour nap during the day or he is cranky.I hope we can get this resolved soon.

DAYS LIKE THIS THAT I LOVE!

I love today because the sun is shining and its warm.I love today because my husband is sweet and let me sleep in.I love today when 2 teens are in great moods and chatty!I love today when a sweet 11 yr old gives you big hugs and says LOVE YOU.I Love today when your 18 yr old son calls you and says hello Beautiful just because.I love when your 22 yr old calls and says hey mom i was thinking of you.I love when a beautiful 6 yr old gives you a big smile that says I LOVE MOMMY for Loving and taking care of me.These are the days i will cherish beyond words...Thank you God for giving me all my children !

BRAIN STORMING!

Money has gotten really tight in this household.Working out of the home is not an option right now because Jaxson is full time care.Yes My husband can do some of it but he don't do his medications and the trach care takes both of us.So i have brain stormed an idea with my aunt and a friend!We are going to open an etsy store and sale some of our handcrafted items.So i need to get busy and get some of my projects done.
I have found a few ways to cut cost already but extra income is what we need right now.We have went full time cloth with Jax..It saves big from buying diapers..Landen wears diapers to school but at home he is in big boy underwear.That has helped too.Now before i grocery shop i look through my pantry to see what we have and match meals to that.I also clip coupons and watch the sale ads.We live 10 miles out from the town we shop in see doctors in and so on.So i make one day to do all my errands on one day to save gas.We get most of our clothing at the thrift store..If you catch them just right you get really nice things even some brand new items.It is worth my time to go there.All of mine and my husbands clothes come from there.I have a recipe to make my own laundry soap which is also a big money saver and will be picking up what i need for this soon.
any other ideas to cut cost?I am all about saving a buck and any advice or ideas to cut cost would be great!
