its comming together!

I am so thrilled our dossier is just one document off from being sent and i will have that wensday morning.I am so thrilled to be this close woohoo!So close to meeting my little one!I wish i was with him now.Yes i know i have other things to do.but this is a step closer yet.He needs medical care and i pray he stays healthy until we get there to him.Many parents have visited him and told me about him .They say prayers for him.At this time they didnt know there was a family waiting for him.They were thrilled to hear he has a family who is already so in love with him and cant wait to get him home.

I am thinking about washng his clothes and putting them in his dresser.I know its early yet but they in sacks and boxes in my bedroom and i would love to have some room again.I think i will do that.Hi high chair is in the dining room..his crib is also in my room against the wall.Its so wierd to have baby things in here and minus our baby.But not for long i pray.I am praying he is home before christmas.The day i get the call that we can go get him .I will be packing and on that plane .

On another note..my mom and dad came for coffee the other day.My mom informs me she will give Elijah a nic name as she dont like the name we have chosen.Whats wrong with Elijah?so she tells me she will call him Eli for short.Elijah is a beautiful name and strong name.For what Elijahs short life has been through its very fitting for him.I guess she will get used to it.I hope y next post is to say the dossier is mailed.Until then...

A Great day!

I joined our adoption agencies group.I am so happy to be there.I got some pics of my sweet angel from other parents.My boy is a DOLL! I so cant wait to hold him he is just too sweet.I am ALMOST done with dossier took a bit longer then i anticipated.Should be sent next week.Please pray for a speedy process the sooner he is home the better it is for him.He needs medical intervention.ALso got an update on his weight and height.He is 15lbs and 2ft6inches.He is very TALL.Just like Landen all legs!Oh i so cant wait to hold him and let him know how much he is loved.

comments and stares!and...Shopping

I know people are curious when you have a child thats skin is darker then yours.But good grief must they stare?I should be used to it by now.I had one tell me once ..wheres he from?I tell her then she says oh hes not yours?Um yes hes mine...I have a birth certificate that says so.Hes mine through and through.Same for my daughter..she gets uncomfortable when people stare at her and will stand close by me and say Mom people are watching us again.I tell her they have to look because you are so beautiful they cant help it.She says Yeah right mom and drops it from there.
ok enough of my soap box i dont wanna write a book on it right now cause sometimes it gets me riled.I did some more shopping today....Elijah is already spoiled.I have had so much fun buyng for him its been a real blast,Now i need my BABY.Michael has not said a word i been waiting to hear him gripe at me .So far so Good haha he knows griping does no good the more he gripes themore i shop haha.I had Landen with me and my 14 yr old daughter Linda.Linda is so excited about Elijah.She found a stuffed frog and said Mom can i buy this for Elijah?When the time comes to get him can you take it with you and tell him its from Sissy Linda and that i love him.I couldnt tell her no..So Elijah has a frog with a sweet letter attached to it from his big sister.
Landen was so funny today..He called my aunt a goober which comes out GOOGER to funny.she started laughing.Then he came to the table and said..Pizza Pizza?He syas it really fats so it sound like the little ceasers pizza dude.He didnt get pizza but he had him a taco at taco johns today.Actually he had 2 of them.
Rebecca was upset she had a double header softaball game tonigh and it was cancelled due to rain.she so loves her SOFTBALL.and boy is she GOOD at it.so hope its rescheduled soon.We hope to get fingerprints tomorrow for Kbi the cards have been mailed.I hope we get it done soon.another step cloaer to my sweet Elijah.

Hubbys Autobiography is now typed up an signed wooohooo!All i gotta do is get copies of it.He wrote it but dont like to type so i get that part.Of course im not good at typing either but its prety good.I LOVE SPELL CHECK...cant live without it.I am so so excited about Elijah.I cant wait until he is home and in our family.
I was making a list for packing when we go to get him...I had one started but evidently lost it.Michael walked by and said that was alot of items for Elijah.I said yes and we will be in Liberia with him for a week these are must haves.Its not anything different then anyone else picking up a baby would have.CLOTHES,toys,bottles,formula,baby cereal,babyfood,diapers and wipes,meds ,diaper bag,bibs and disposable changing pads,soiled bags for diapers and clothes.Is that too much?oh and of course baby bath care products.sometimes i wonder about him.
I am so ready to put Elijahs crib up.Michael keeps telling me no not yet.I know im impatient.. and just want everything put together now.I know he is right and its too soon.But its just me and im excited and just want it all done.but i still dont have his crib blanket done yet anyway.Crosstsich takes some time so it wont be done for awhile yet.

A little closer!

Homevisit is done yeahhh.We had some issues getting our fingerprints done.Our police department does not have the cards needed for Kbi.So we went to srs to see if they had any no such luck.Then i check another place No there too.So we wait for them.I also got some more things sent to the agency .Dossier will be mailed this week .I have everything just need to get some copies.as soon as we get KBI over with hope to get homestudy soon so i can send it to agency .Then get INS going.
I went shopping again I got the highchair bought its a nice one .I also bought some more outfits for him and a mobile for his crib.He also got 4 new outfits summer ones to take to Liberia.Landen also got some new things...Landen loves spongebob and i bought him sponge bob pajamas and a pair with Lizards on them that glow in the dark.I also got him a nerf ball.He loves his balls.
I hope to get an update on Elijah soon.I hope he is doing ok.I also hope to get some new pictures soon.If i get some i will be sure to post them.

LONG BUSY DAY!

What a day i have had...started with husband having an appointment and getting cyst cut out his arm and right thigh.Linda also had an appointment she has a UTI.By the time we left there Landen was hungry and was saying eat eat bite bite.So we went to mcdonaolds for lunch.I finally got home..Put Bella (our pug) outside and started Laundry yuck.
Tomorrow or i should say today the social worker comes...I am nervous i dont know why i just am.But also excited and ready to get my sweet littke boy home.I cannot wait to hold him and kiss those adorable little cheeks of his.I so wish i could go to Liberia right now and just scoop him up and never let go.But i know thats impossible right now.I just pray everything comes together quickly.I would be thrilled if we could get home before christmas but i dont know.
We got our dining room all painted it turned out BEAUTIFUL.Now to get new carpet.We were going to go pick some out(hubby didnt like the carpet i picked the first time) this comming weekend.But its the BAT picnic and we go every year It means alot to Rebecca and Landen and its important for them to stay connected to the kids they spent alot of time with in the orphanage.Looks like we will wait one more weekend then go carpet shopping.
I am up late again tonight my daughter cleaned her room and i think every artical of clothing she owned came with it.so i am working on the Laundry.And of course getting some computer time in.i should be working on Elijahs crib blanket im making but decided tomorrow evening to dedicate a couple hours on it.
